Aerobatic Team of Mustang (1951) & Mig 17 (1959)

P-51D Mustang TNI-AU

In the early days of manning the P-51 Mustang Air Squadron 3, TNI-AU imported an instructor from the U.S., Leo Noomis who also teaches the basics of formation aerobatic. As a result of training that is developed to become Indonesia’s first aerobatic team without a name but it is clear that team manned by Leo “Eagle” Wattimena, Rusmin “Eagle” Nuryadin, Dewanto, Hapid, Zainalan, Hashari “Bison”, Rusman “Hellcat”, Mulyono (killed in the crash of aerobatic in Surabaya, 9 April order to show around the Java when flying with Hadi Sapandi and Pracoyo). Mig 17 TNI-AU

Aerobatic Team Spirit’78
Although the previous era has formed a team aerobatics, Iswahjudi Air Base itself has not been able to shape it until 1978. In the next era, when the F-86 Sabre strengthens Iswahjudi, that is formed Aerobatic Team Spirit 78.

As a fighter squadron, aerobatics is already familiar to the pilot F-86 Sabre. However, for the air show aerobatics activity was newly implemented in 1978. But before the Anniversary of the Armed Forces in 1978 Squadron 14 ordered to perform “Advanced Formation”. Aerobatic Team Spirit’85
Starting from the Iswahjudi air base commander Marsma Zikado Zainudin, who at one time challenged the senior pilots from Squadron 15 to form an aerobatics team. JAT members consist of senior pilots at the air base Iswahjudi Squadron 15, with the Hawk Mk-53 aircraft. Aerobatic Team Blue Falcon/Elang Biru
Elang Biru’s name appears as the name came from Indonesia The Blue Falcon. But in the course of time the name of Elang Biru is more widely used and become an icon of one of the achievements of the Air Force as an ambassador in the sky. Born from the command leadership of the Air Force in mid 1994 to prepare an aerobatics team using F-16 aircraft from the squadron 3 of the Air. Even the F-16 personnel we sent to watch the show The Thunderbirds in anniversary of the Republic of Singapore in August 1994. Then hold discussions with the famous aerobatic team personnel. Steve “Boss” Trent, a former Leader of The Thunderbird, May. Pete “Abner” McCaffrey, an instructor of “Solo” and Capt. Matthew “Byrdman” E Byrd, the instructor left and right wingman. Abner train Bambang Samudro and Agung Sasongkojati, while Birdman train Tatang Herlyansah and Anang Nurhadi. Rodi received training from the Boss. Please note Boss is a former Wing Commander Wolfpack in Korea and Vietnam war veteran with the F-4 Phantom, while Abner and Byrdman respectively, are veterans of Desert Storm operations with the F-16C and F-117 Night Hawk.
In addition to flying training, the instructor sent PACAF also provide software related to the maneuver, and safety management in organizing an aerobatic teams like the Thunderbirds. Aerobatic Team Jupiter
After missing for a decade, Hawk Mk-53 aerobatics team finally showing his back. On 23 September 1997, a new Air Force aerobatics team  has been formed with eight Mk 53 Hawk aircraft from Education Squadron 103, this aerobatic team was named the Team Jupiter. Fahru “Ferret” Zaini, Captain Pilot. Donny “Osprey” Ermawan, Major Pilot. Agoes “Wild Deer” Haryadi, First Lieutenant Pilot. Yudhianto “Grizzly” and First Lieutenant Pilot. Budi “Boxer” Ramelan.
After his appearance on Armed Forces Day, Jupiter Team again appeared impressive in Sulaiman airbase, Bandung, while in anniversary Kodikau, October 15, 1997. His appearance at that time opened a new history for the Air Force Aerobatic Team. Because, apparently there has never been aerobatics team playing in Bandung. Aerobatic Team Jupiter Blue

Jupiter Blue team led by Zaini Fahru back with spectacular action on the anniversary of the TNI at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport. In 2002 Jupiter Blue Aerobatic unfortunate accident. The accident occurred at an altitude of 2,000 feet when three planes Hawk Mk-53 is almost complete aerobatics maneuvers on Victory Loop in Iswahjudi airbase, Madiun, East Java. Megawati also advised that the accident had not discourage the Air Forces spirit.
Disaster in 2002 was as though a dark cloud that covers the history of the golden age of the Air Force with a variety of aerobatics team.

(New) Aerobatic Team Jupiter 

Jupiter is the original team was formed back in 2008 using 4 pieces of Korean Aerospace KT 1B Woong Bee of Education Squadron 102 at the Adi Sucipto airbase, Yogyakarta. The first show in front of the general public took place on July 4, 2008 in Yogyakarta and the second in Jakarta in November 2008.
This aerobatic team using the name “JUPITER” as a ‘call sign’ (call) the Air Force flying instructor. All members of the Jupiter aerobatic Team (JAT) is a flying instructor. By using the South Korean-made aircraft in 2003 was painted in gray color.
After 2008 Jupiter aerobatic team launched again to its original form, Jupiter Aerobatic Air Force Team re-launched. A total of 8 KT-1B trainer aircraft made in South Korea Woong Bee is painted with Red-White, a part of this team. Thunder aerobatic team is the latest aerobatic team owned by the Air Force in initiative of Chief TNI-AU Marshal Imam Sufaat. The team was formed on February 28, 2011 at Sultan Hasanuddin airbase, Makasar – consisting of three Sukhoi (Su-27/30). The team is controlled directly by the Flight Director Commander Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base First Marshal TNI Agus Supriatna manned by the “Thunders”, the designation for the Air Squadron 11 pilots who until now has been achieved to-146 sequence.

TNI receives three Bell 412 EP from PT DI

BONTANG–MICOM: Wakil Menteri Pertahanan Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin mengatakan Indonesia membutuhkan sekitar 700 ribu ton amonium nitrat per tahun baik untuk bahan peledak komersial maupun militer.

“Namun, kapasitas produksi yang kita miliki masih belum mencukupi,” kata Sjafrie saat meninjau kesiapan produksi perdana PT Kaltim Nitrate Indonesia (KNI) di Bontang, Kalimantan Timur, Rabu (25/1).

Sjafrie mengatakan kehadiran KNI sebagai salah satu industri bahan peledak diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif bagi penambahan kapasitas produksi yang belum dapat dipenuhi saat ini.
